• Maximum Weight of Carry-on Luggage: 13 lb/6 kg

World Traveller Plus passengers must adhere to the below requirements:

• Carry-on Allowance: 1 Piece + 1 laptop/Briefcase
• Maximum Dimensions of Carry-on Luggage: 22in x 16in x 8in/55cm x 40cm x 20cm (length x width x height)
• Maximum Dimensions of Laptop/Briefcase: 18in x 14in x 8in/45cm 35cm x 20cm (length x width x height)
• Maximum Combined Weight: 26 lb/12 kg

First, Club World, Club Europe passengers must adhere to the below requirements:

• Carry-on Allowance: 1 Piece + 1 laptop/Briefcase
• Maximum Dimensions of Carry-on Luggage: 22 in x 16 in x 8 in/55 cm x 40 cm x 20 cm (length x width x height)
• Maximum Dimensions of Laptop/Briefcase: 18 in x 14 in x 8 in/45 cm 35 cm x 20 cm (length x width x height)
• Maximum Combined Weight: 40 lb/9 kg

Checked Baggage Allowance

If traveling within the U.K.:

• Free baggage allowance: 1 piece
• Maximum Dimensions: 62 linear inches/158 cm* (length + width + height)
• Maximum Weight: 51 lb/23 kg*

If traveling to/from the U.S., Canada, Mexico, the Caribbean, South America, Nigeria, Kenya, and Ghana:

• Free baggage allowance if traveling in First and Club World: 3 pieces
• Free baggage allowance if traveling in World Traveller Plus or World Traveller: 2 pieces
• Maximum Dimensions: 62 linear inches/158 cm* (length + width + height)
• Maximum Weight: 51 lb/23 kg*

For all other international destinations each passenger must adhere to the below weight requirements:

• Free baggage allowance if traveling in First and Club World: 3 pieces
• Free baggage allowance if traveling in Club Europe or World Traveller Plus: 2 pieces
• Free baggage allowance if traveling in World Traveller or Euro Traveller: 1 piece
• Maximum Dimensions: 62 linear inches/158 cm (length + width + height)*
• Maximum Weight: 51 lb/23 kg*

Excess, Overweight, Oversize Baggage Fees

If you have more bags than the permitted allowance or your bags exceed the weight or linear restrictions, you will be charged additional fees. Contact British Airways directly, or visit their Excess Baggage Information Page for information. Any single bag weighing over 70 lbs/32 kg will not be accepted.

Sports Equipment

Some checked items, such as surfboards and bicycles will be charged a fixed handling fee because of size, fragility, or other handling requirements while others may be checked in lieu of one of your checked bags.
