Audio Video On Demand (AVOD) available on select aircraft.  United provides various audio channels ranging from '80s music to Easy Listening.

On select aircrafts of this version of United's 737-800, all seats come equipped with AVOD and a seatback TV. Additionally, United has installed DirectTV on select 737 Next Generation aircrafts to provide you with over 100 of your favorite TV channels, new release Hollywood movies, and to ensure you will be relaxed and entertained for your entire flight.   

On select 737-800 aircrafts, all First Class seats will have Empower laptop power which does not require an adapter. Economy rows 7-21 are equipped with power on select aircrafts. There are two units per row which are located between each power-enabled seat just below the seat cushion. No adapter is required. The power unit accepts plugs from the U.S. and other select countries. 

Non-alcoholic beverages are complimentary. Alcoholic beverages can be purchased for an additional fee in Economy and are free of charge in First Class.

• Flights Less than 1 hour: In First, munchies are offered.
• Flights 1-2 hours: First class passengers received warmed scones, snacks, and fresh fruit. Economy passengers are offered a cold snack.
• Flights 2-5 hours: First class passengers receive a full hot meal service during traditional meal times. Economy passengers are offered a hot sandwich and snack (or cold breakfast).
• Flights over 5 hours: First class passengers receive a full hot meal service during traditional meal times and a snack in between.
