Young children traveling without a parent or legal guardian are considered unaccompanied minors. Most airlines provide a service to assist these children from their point of departure to their final destination.

The service is mandatory for children ages 5-11 traveling without an adult who is at least 16 years old. Children under 5 years of age are not allowed to travel unless accompanied by an adult.

SpiceJet charges Rs. 1000 per child, each way, in addition to the regular fare.

Are there any flight restrictions?

All unaccompanied minors must present photo identification at the airport. A parent or guardian is required to complete a signed indemnity form at the point of check-in at each departure airport prior to travel, which must include the name and contact numbers for a parent or guardian who will meet the unaccompanied minor at the point of arrival. Valid photo ID for both the unaccompanied minor and the parent or guardian is required at the point of check-in. The parent or guardian must remain at the airport until the flight has departed.
