Hawaiian Airlines Baggage

For tickets purchased after August 1, 2008 for travel after October 1, first checked bags are charged $15 and second checked bags are charged $25.

Carry-On Allowance: 1 Bag + 1 Personal Item

Each passenger is allowed to carry on one bag and one personal item such as a purse or briefcase. Assistive devices and outer garments do not count as personal items. All carry-on luggage must fit in the overhead bin or under the seat in front of you and adhere to the following requirements:

  • Maximum Dimensions of Carry-on Luggage: 45 linear in/114 cm (length + width + height)
  • Maximum Weight of Carry-on Luggage: 25 lb/11 kg

Fees are assessed per piece, each way, and non-refundable.

Each piece of baggage will be subject to the charges described below. Excess weight and oversize pieces will be subject to additional charges as shown below.

Baggage rules will apply based on a single carrier's rules for the entire journey subject to DOT regulations that govern which airline's rules will apply on a single ticket.

 International Check-In Luggage

Charges are per piece, each way, and are non-refundable.
International baggage rules will apply for entire trip, subject to DOT regulations that govern which airline's rules apply on a single ticket, including U.S. domestic segments regardless of stopover, providing the ticket includes at least one ticketed international point.

Sports Equipment

Some checked items, such as surfboards and bicycles will be charged a fixed handling fee because of size, fragility, or other handling requirements while others may be checked in lieu of one of your checked bags. If you plan to travel with sporting equipment, contact Hawaiian Airlines directly to confirm packing regulations and fees.
