  United recently outfitted first and business class with freestanding personal TV units that can be placed on the tray tables. The units feature a seven-inch LCD touchscreen and 80GB of programming, including 20 movies, 30 TV shows, 40 music albums, five games, and children's programming. First- and business-class fliers also receive noise-reduction headsets. Economy class features overhead television monitors located throughout the plane.

  While there is a 110v power port at each first- and business-class seat and two 110v power ports for every three seats in economy class, these ports do not properly accommodate most laptop plugs. To alleviate the issue, United has started to supply adapters onboard these PS planes.

  United now offers inflight WiFi on the 757-20 p.s. The service costs $12.95 for flights longer than three hours, and $9.95 for shorter flights. Travelers using handheld devices, such as smartphones and PDAs, will pay $7.95 no matter the length of the flight.
