In First and Business class, there is very limited floor storage due to the configuration and design of these premium seats.
As seats in Business class recline at 180 degrees, it is often difficult to exit the window seats with the passenger in the aisle is reclined. On the upper deck of the 747, there is 3 inches less seat pitch than on the main deck. Taller passengers in United's Business class may be advised to select an aisle row on the main deck.
Economy Plus is offered on this aircraft type. Economy Plus is not a separate class of service but is standard economy with up to 3 inches of extra legroom. These seats are located nearer to the front of the aircraft and passengers in this section will be served first. Charges for these seats will depend on routing and may be purchased at the of booking or check-in.

In First and Business class, passengers may connect their iPods into the in-seat video screen using a proprietary connector.

In First and Business class, United offers more than 150 hours of Audio and Visual OnDemand (AVOD). Noise reduction Bose head phones are given to First and Business class passengers. A special adapter jack is required for passengers wishing to use their own headphones.

In First and Business class, United offers more than 150 hours of Audio and Visual OnDemand (AVOD), games, and a map on 15.4-inch personal LCD screens. There are also noise-reduction headphones as well as iPod adapters. In Economy class, there are no personal televisions on this equipment type. Movies are played on overhead projectors.

There are regular 110V AC power ports in First and Business class. There are no power ports in Economy. USB ports are also available for charging portable electronics.

Bassinets: Bassinets are not available in First or Business class. Bassinets are available in Economy class for infants up to 6 months old. Bassinets must be reserved via United's reservation call centre.
Baby Changers: Diaper changing tables are available on some long-haul aircraft.
Food: Infant food is available but must be reserved in advance.
