The 747-400 is the backbone of Japan Airlines' fleet, and JAL flies five different versions of it. Be sure to compare each in order to determine on which configuration you are flying.
There are no power outlets on this aircraft. However, business class passengers may request an external battery from a flight attendant. Only a limited number of batteries and adapters area available for loan and they may not be compatible for every electrical device, but it is worth asking a flight attendant for more information.

JAL offers everything from the latest pop tunes to traditional Japanese comic monologues (rakugo). Some aircraft are equipped with Audio Video On Demand (AVOD); however not all aircraft have been updated. Business class passengers receive Panasonic noise-canceling headphones on routes between Tokyo and London, Frankfurt, Paris, New York (except on JL048/047), Chicago, San Francisco, and Los Angeles.
