Does Egyptair have Online Check-in?

Yes, Egyptair’s Web Check-in allows you to check-in between 24 hours and 90 minutes before your flight departs. As a reminder, you will need your travel documents and applicable flight information to complete the online check-in process and access to a printer if you plan to print your boarding pass.

What are the requirements for using Online Check-in?

  • All passengers using this service must have an e-ticket
  • Only passengers on flights operated by Egyptair can use Online Check-in
  • You are not a passenger requiring special services (unaccompanied minors, disabled, medicines)
  • You are not transporting pets
  • You are not travelling with infants

*Make sure you leave enough time at the airport to get through security, check your bags etc.

Can I use Online Check-in if I have bags to check?

Yes, however, passengers with baggage to check must go to the Egyptair “baggage drop” counter upon arrival at the airport. All baggage must be checked in at least one hour before the scheduled flight departure.

Can I change/select my seat with Online Check-in?

Yes, when you use Egyptair’s Online Check-in, you may check seat availability and choose the seat which suits you best.

Does Egyptair have Mobile Check-in?

Yes, Egyptair does offer mobile check-in and passengers can access this service by typing mobile.egyptair.com into their mobile device. Passengers will receive an electronic boarding pass. This service is available for all passengers departing from the Cairo Airport to all domestic locations within Egypt.

If I plan to check in at the airport, how much time should I allot?

Passengers should plan to arrive at the security checkpoint no later than 45 minutes before their flight departure. Therefore, they should plan to arrive at the airport AT LEAST one hour prior to their flight departure.

When do I need to be at the boarding gate?

Boarding gates close 30 minutes prior to flight departure, so it is recommended you arrive at the boarding gate at least 45 minutes prior to departure.
