Carry-On Allowance

Passengers are subject to the following hand luggage restrictions on international and domestic flights:

  • Business- 2 pieces of hand luggage each with a maximum weight of 8 kg and one personal item
  • Economy- 1 piece of hand luggage with a maximum weight of 8 kg and one personal item

REMINDER: Bulkhead seats do not have underseat storage during take-off and landing.

Checked Baggage

Passengers are entitled to the following free baggage allowance on international routes:

  • Business- 2 pieces of baggage each with a maximum weight of 32 kg (70 lbs) and maximum dimensions of 158 cm (62 in)
  • Economy- 2 pieces of baggage each with a maximum weight of 23 kg (50 lbs) and maximum dimensions of 158 cm (62 in)

Passengers are entitled to the following free baggage allowance on domestic routes:

  • Business- 1 piece of baggage with a maximum weight of 32 kg (70 lbs) and maximum dimensions of 158 cm (62 in)
  • Economy- 1 piece of baggage with a maximum weight of 23 kg (50 lbs) and maximum dimensions of 158 cm (62 in)

Size Requirements:

All bags must adhere to the size and weight requirements unless otherwise noted:

  • Maximum Dimensions: 158 cm/ 62 inches (length+width:height)
  • Maximum Weight: 32 kg

Overweight Baggage Fees

Any baggage exceeding the free baggage allowance weight requirements (24-32 kg) is charged a fee based on the location of departure and the destination location. For additional information, visit the Egyptair website here

Any passenger with overweight baggage should arrive at the airport at least 90 minutes before their normal check-in time to pay excess fees. Passengers who exceed the maximum weight or size requirements will be asked to repack their luggage.

Oversize Baggage Fees

Any baggage exceeding the free baggage allowance size requirements (more than 158 cm/ 62 in) is charged a fee based on the location of departure and the destination location. For additional information, visit the Egyptair website here

Sports Equipment

Egyptair applies special excess baggage fees to all sports equipment exceeding the free baggage allowance. The following sports equipment can be transported as checked baggage: ammunition, archery equipment, bikes, firearms, fishing equipment, golf equipment, scuba equipment, and skis/snowboards. The following sports equipment must be transported as cargo: tandem bike, hang gliders, kayaks, and surfboards.

CPAP Devices:

A 48-hour notice is required, and a Special Assistance Coordinator will confirm the availability of this request for any POC/CPAP devices. The Passenger is required to have a completed copy of Medical Information (MEDIF), a doctor need to specify if the passenger needs.
