Delta Air Lines Boeing 747-400 (744)

The 747-400 series aircraft are former Northwest Airlines planes. There are currently 15 747-400 in service and all appear in Delta Airlines livery. While the exterior of the aircraft appears as Delta, much of the interior remains the former Northwest Airlines product, including Northwest's former World Business Class product. Delta will soon update all 747-400 aircraft with onDemand personal TVs in economy. Also, Delta will soon be replacing the business class seats with flat-bed sleeper seats, though the specific seat model is still to be determined.

    Economy class is currently outfitted with overhead TVs, however, Delta is updating the 747-400 with AVOD in both classes of service.

    • Non-alcoholic beverages are complimentary. Alcoholic beverages can be purchased for $7 in economy and are free of charge in BusinessElite.
    • International flights and select flights to Alaska and Hawaii longer than five hours: All passengers are offered complimentary meal service. Economy passengers receive one complimentary alcoholic drink with meal.

  • Infant
    Food: Food for your infant can be pre-ordered if you are on a flight where complimentary meal service is offered in your cabin. You must make your special meal request at least 12 hours before your flight's scheduled departure by contacting Delta reservations.
