Carry-On Allowance: 1 Piece
Each passenger is allowed to carry on one piece of carry-on luggage. Baby buggies, wheelchairs, scooters, and walking frames may be carried free of charge. All carry-on luggage must fit in the overhead bin or under the seat in front of you and adhere to the following requirements:
- Maximum Dimensions of Carry-on Luggage: 22 in x 16 in x 8 in/55 cm x 40 cm x 20 cm
- Maximum Weight of Carry-on Luggage: 22 lb/10 kg
REMINDER: Bulkhead seats do not have underseat storage during take-off and landing.

Each checked bag will be charged a fee, the price of which is dependent on the length of the flight and whether the fee is prepaid online or at the airport.
- Prepaid internet rate per piece, each way: £8.99/€11.24 or £10.99/€13.74, depending on length of flight
- Paid through call centre or during check in at the airport, per piece, each way: £15.00/€18.75
- Maximum of 5 bags per flight, per person
- Maximum combined weight: 40 lb/18 kg
Passengers traveling together on the same booking reservation, who have individually purchased bags, can pool their baggage weight allowance up to the equivalent of 40 lb/18 kg per passenger. Once this limit is reached, then standard overweight charges as detailed below will apply. Please note passengers traveling on the same booking reservation must all check-in at the same time in order to pool the baggage allowance.
All baggage in excess of 40 lb/18 kg will be charged £10.00/€14.50 per kilo on UK, Ireland, and International flights. Please note, the maximum weight of any one item of baggage is 71 lb/32 kg.
Infant Baggage Allowance
Infants who are not occupying their own seat are entitled to a 11 lb/5 kg baggage allowance. This baggage allowance will be added to the adult responsible for the infant. For children over 2 years, the price of flights and the baggage allowance is the same as for adults. Please note a pram/buggy can be carried free of charge.
Leisure equipment which requires additional handling, such as bicycles, fencing equipment, fishing equipment, golf clubs, hockey equipment, musical equipments, paintball equipment, scuba equipment, skis and snowboards (ski or board shoes and poles are carried free of charge if carried with the relevant skis or snowboard), and toolboxes will be charged £17.99/€22 per sector per item if booked paid online and £23/€28 per sector per item when booked through the bmibaby call centre or at the airport.
Larger items including canoes, hang gliders, and surfboards will be charged at £24.99/€31 per sector per item if paid online and £30/€38 per sector per item when booked through the bmibaby call centre or at the airport.
These items will be carried subject to space availability. Sports equipment bags must only contain sport equipment. Ski boots that are checked in without skis are to be booked as a prepaid baggage item in the number of bags drop-down menu during the booking process and are subject to £8.99/€11.24 per sector per item when booked online.
PLEASE NOTE: Bicycles will only be accepted if suitably packaged. The maximum weight of any of these sports items 40 lb/18 kgs. All items will officially travel stand-by. bmibaby will not be responsible for repatriation if there is a delay. Any item not listed above is subject to the standard excess baggage rate.
