Carry-On Allowance: 1 Bag + 1 Garment Bag + Personal Items
The carry-on bag must adhere to the following requirements:
- Maximum Dimensions: 23 cm x 34 cm x 48 cm (105 linear cm/41 in)
- Maximum Combined Carry-on Weight (including garment bag): 7 kg/15 lb
Suit pack or garment bag must be non rigid/unfolded and must adhere to the following requirements:
- Maximum Dimensions: 11 cm x 60 cm x 114 cm (185 linear cm/73 in).
In addition, the following items are allowed:
- Laptop computer, a handbag, pocketbook or purse
- An overcoat, wrap or blanket
- An umbrella without metal points, or walking stick
- A small camera or pair of binoculars
- Infant food for consumption in flight
- A pair of crutches or prosthetic devices for your use, provided that you are dependant on them for mobility

Baggage Allowance
- Each piece of baggage must not weigh more than 32 kg and must not exceed a total linear dimension of 140 cm/55 in.
- Passengers may check in up to 20 kg/44 lb of baggage, free of charge.
- Corporate Plus fare holders and Velocity GOLD members may check in up to 32 kg/71 lb of baggage free.

Australia Domestic Flights
- 1 kg - 10 kg above free baggage allowance: AUD $20
- 11 kg - 15 kg above free baggage allowance: AUD $30
- 16 + kg above free baggage allowance: AUD $80, plus $5 per kg over 16 kg
New Zealand Domestic Flights
NZD $5 per kg over the weight limit

A flat fee of $8 will apply for an increased allowance of 23 kg/51 lb of checked baggage for passengers traveling on discount fares when purchased online or through Virgin Blue's Guest Contact Centre as part of the booking process. If the checked baggage allowance has not been pre-purchased, a $20 charge for up to 23 kg/51 lb will apply at airport check-in.
