American Airlines Boeing 767-200 (762)

There are 15 767-200 in the American fleet and these are used on domestic sectors primarily between New York and Los Angeles and between New York and San Francisco. On these routes, this aircraft type provides American's Flagship Service (AFS).

On shorter domestic and Caribbean flights, only two classes of service are provided. In these instances, some Business class passengers may be seated in First class seats.

In First Class, the FEBO (Front on Even Numbers flights and Back on Odd numbered flights) service pattern is used. This means that on flights with an even number, service begins from the front and vice versa. Being served first usually means choice of meals.

American has proactively deactivated power on all of the 767-200 aircraft due to issues discovered during maintenance checks. Passengers with need for inflight power are suggested to bring a spare battery or switch aircraft types.
