American Airlines Boeing 757-200 Vers. 1 (757)

There are 124 757-200 in the American Airlines fleet. This seat map reflects an older configuration with American's older style Business Class.

This particular version flies mid to long-haul domestic flights and flights to Ireland. On some international routes, such as for charter or seasonal services, it is configured entirely as Economy. In these instances, rows 1-6 may be reserved by American's top tier frequent flyers and those with full economy fares. If there are still seats available in the first six rows on the day of travel, upgrades may also be purchased at the airport.

Some of American's 757 fleet have been configured with lie flat Business Class seats but not all aircraft have inflight power.

  • Only some of American's 757 have in-seat power, but not all aircraft are outfitted with outlets. Consult the seat map for exact locations.

Update: As of 01 September 2010, American is proactively disabling inflight power on the 757-200 domestic fleet due to a previous incident. All 104 aircraft will be inspected and there is no word on when this will be completed. Passengers with need for inflight power are suggested to bring a spare battery or switch aircraft types.
