This plane flies mid- to long-range domestic flights and flights to Ireland. On some international routes, this plane is sold as all coach. In these instances, rows 1-6 can be pre-reserved by Elites and by those traveling on full coach fares. If there are still seats available in the first six rows on day of travel, upgrades can also be purchased at the airport.
Eighteen of American's 757s will be retrofitted with international business class lie-flat seats, updated economy seats, and LCD video screens.
Beware that not all of American's 757s have in-seat power.

Please note, only some of American's 757 have in-seat power, but not all aircraft are outfitted with outlets. Those that do have power have cigarette lighter-style power ports in all first class seats and in select economy seats, mostly towards the front of the cabin. On U.S. and Canada flights that are 3+ hours and depart between 5am and 9pm snack boxes can be purchased for $4 each. On transcontinental, Alaska and Hawaii flights, a sandwich or wrap is also available for $5. Snack Boxes and Sandwiches - First Class: Complimentary food service is offered on all flights over 1 hour 45 minutes that operate within a traditional meal time.
First class passengers, remember the acronym FEBO for food service. American Airlines serves first class from the Front on Even numbered flights and the Back on Odd numbered flights. Being served first usually results in getting your first choice of meals.
