Carry-On Allowance: 1 Bag + 1 Personal Item
Each passenger is allowed to carry on one bag and one personal item such as a purse or briefcase. Assistive devices and outer garments do not count as personal items. All carry-on luggage must fit in the overhead bin or under the seat in front of you and adhere to the following requirements:
- Maximum Dimensions of Carry-on Luggage (including all handles, wheels, etc.): 22 in x 16 in x 9 in/55 cm x 40 cm x 23 cm (length + width + height)
- Maximum Weight of Carry-on Luggage: 22lb/10kg

Checked Baggage Allowance
Transpacific flights (including U.S.A.)
First and Business Class:
- Baggage Allowance: 2 pieces
- Maximum Dimensions of each piece: 62 linear inches/158 cm (length + width + height)
- Maximum Weight of each piece: 70 lb/32 kg
Economy Class:
- Baggage Allowance: 2 pieces
- Maximum Dimensions of each piece: 62 linear inches/158 cm (length + width + height)
- Maximum Combined Dimensions of both pieces: 107 linear inches/273 cm (length + width + height)
- Maximum Weight of each piece: 50 lb/23 kg
Infants not occupying a seat:
- Baggage Allowance: 1 piece + one fully collapsible stroller or infant carrying basket/car seat
- Maximum Dimensions: 62 linear inches/158 cm (length + width + height)
- Maximum Weight: same as limit for adult fare in the same class of service
All Other flights (including Europe and Asia)
- Maximum Weight for First Class passengers: 88 lb/40 kg total
- Maximum Weight for Business Class passengers: 66 lb/30 kg total
- Maximum Weight for Economy Class passengers: 44 lb/20 kg total
- Maximum Weight for Infants not occupying a seat: 22 lb/10 kg total + one fully collapsible stroller or infant carrying basket/car seat

Excess Baggage
Transpacific flights (including U.S.A.)
First and Business Class:
Baggage exceeding the free baggage allowance will be charged a fee per piece. Please note that charge per piece is different between departure from Japan and departure from the U.S.A.
Flights departing from Japan (excluding Okinawa) to:
- Hawaii: 16,200 Yen
- Los Angeles/ San Francisco: 19,800 Yen
- New York/ Washington,D.C./Chicago: 22,000 Yen
Additional charge may apply depending on the size and weight of excess baggage.
Economy Class:
Baggage exceeding the free baggage allowance will be charged with excess baggage charge per piece (see above). Additional charge may apply depending on the size and weight of excess baggage. For baggage weighing over 50 lb/23 kg and up to 70 lb/32 kg, 3,000 yen per piece will be charged for the first two bags. Please note that charge per piece is different between departure from Japan and departure from U.S.A.
All Other flights (including Europe)
Excess baggage fee is 1.5 percent of the normal adult one-way economy class fare from departure point. (When there are two types of normal fares as in flights originating in Japan, the higher of the two fares will be used.) Please note that the fee per 1 kg is different between departure from Japan and that from other airports.
Fee per kg for flights departing from Tokyo to:
- London/ Paris/ Frankfurt: 9,000 Yen
- Bangkok: 3,800 Yen
- Ho Chi Minh City: 3,600 Yen
- Beijing: 2,800 Yen
- Shanghai: 2,200 Yen
- Seoul: 1,300 Yen
*All flights departing from London Heathrow Airport will not accept any single piece of checked baggage weighing more than 70 lb/32 lb.

Sports Equipment
Some checked items, such as surfboards and bicycles will be charged a fixed handling fee because of size, fragility, or other handling requirements while others may be checked in lieu of one of your checked bags.
