Now that US Airways and America West have merged, you could be on either airline's aircraft. Be sure to consult all versions of this aircraft before making your seat selection. US Airways is in the process of converting all seats on the 757s to leather.
Even though there are eight first class seats, US Airways will now be selling this aircraft as all coach on some routes.
Starting May 7, 2008, Choice Seat assignments on the aisle or window in the first several rows of the coach cabin will be available for as little as $5 per flight. Passengers may select a Choice Seat during Web Check-in (from 24 hours and up to 90 minutes before departure.) US Airways offers 10 channels of audio programming on this plane. You can bring your own double-prong headset for free or you can buy a headset to keep for $5.
In both first and coach, there are television monitors mounted on the ceiling of the aisles every 4 or 5 rows (specifically rows 0, 5, 7, 10, 16, 19, 25, 28). Movies are shown on flights longer than 3 hours, short subject programming (TV shows) is shown on shorter flights. You can bring your own double-prong headset for free or you can buy a headset to keep for $5.
- Beginning August 18, US Airways will charge $2 for non-alcoholic beverages and $7 for alcoholic drinks in coach class. All beverages will remain free of charge in first class. Until then, non-alcoholic beverage service will remain complimentary, and alcoholic beverages can be purchased in coach for $5.
- On flights to/from Denver, Las Vegas, Los Angeles, Phoenix, San Francisco, and Seattle, operated during meal times, food can be purchased through In-flight Cafe for $7.
- US Airways has eliminated all free snacks on its domestic flights.
