In First and Business Class, this aircraft is equipped with Audio Visual on Demand (Rockwell Collins eTES) with a variety of radio and audio programming available. This programming is available via touch screens.

In Economy, some Lufthansa 747-400 have not yet been retrofitted and do not offer touch screen entertainment. In these cases, regular audio programming is available, detailed in the inflight magazine. On retrofitted aircraft, the same programming in First and Business class is available via touch screens.

Tips

This aircraft is configured with 8 First; 66 Business; 270 Economy. During seat selection, the starting row for each class can be used to determine which version of the B747-400 is being used. In May 2011, Lufthansa has introduced its new First Class seats for the B747-400s, offering passengers twice as much room by reducing the seating capacity from 16 seats to eight. Each First Class seat has two components: a reclining upright seat on the aisle side and a permanently flat bed on the window side. Lufthansa has been gradually updating the B747-400s First Class seats but in the aircraft that are not converted yet, Lufthansa is only selling eight of the actual 16 seats, so passengers can use the window seat as a bed and sit on the aisle seat.
