In First and Business Class, this aircraft is equipped with Audio Visual on Demand (Rockwell Collins eTES) with a variety of radio and audio programming available. This programming is available via touch screens.
In Economy, some Lufthansa 747-400 have not yet been retrofitted and do not offer touch screen entertainment. In these cases, regular audio programming is available, detailed in the inflight magazine. On retrofitted aircraft, the same programming in First and Business class is available via touch screens.
In First and Business Class, this aircraft is equipped with Audio Visual on Demand (Rockwell Collins eTES) with a variety of television and movie programmes. This programming is available via touch screens.
In Economy, some Lufthansa 747-400 have not yet been retrofitted and do not offer touch screen entertainment. In these cases, films and programming are shown via overhead projectors and monitors throughout the cabin. Wireless internet is gradually being introduced to the long-haul fleet and should be available on all long-haul flights by the end of 2011. Lufthansa's Flynet is available as a wireless hotspot onboard and may be accessed by all cabins. Access will cost €10.95 (EUR) for one hour (or 3,500 miles), or a flat rate of €19.95 (EUR) for 24 hours (or 7,000 miles). The service will initially allow access for WLAN-enabled laptops and smartphones. Voice calls will not be available. More information on the service and its pricing options is listed here.
First Class and Business Class seats are equipped with regular 110v AC power ports. There is no power in Economy Class.
