Lufthansa Airbus A380-800 (388)

This aircraft is the newest type in the Lufthansa fleet. Lufthansa becomes the fifth worldwide operator of this double-decker aircraft. There are currently four in service.

Lufthansa's A380 features its new First Class product, 98 Business Class seats and Economy Class with personal televisions and 420 seats on the main deck.

Lufthansa introduced this aircraft on Frankfurt to Tokyo on June 11, 2010 and other A380 routes routes include Beijing and Johannesburg. Lufthansa has 15 A380-800's on order.

In Economy Class, underseat storage boxes for the inflight entertainment are located between seats B,C; F,G; H,J; however they are not intrusive and should not significantly impact leg or storage room, except where indicated.

Audio entertainment is available at each seat in every class, including CD and international radio channels. Beware that Lufthansa's audio system uses three-prong headphones, an adapter will be required to use personal headphones. The inflight entertainment system on this aircraft is Panasonic ex2.

Each seat deploys to a fully flat bed with large, individual monitors and optional partitions between seats. Seat 1K is a bassinet position.
