Do I need to reserve a seat for my infant?

Infants under two years old may travel on an adult passenger’s lap. They are, however, still required to purchase a ticket at only 10% the price of a regular adult ticket.

Will I pay for my infant to travel domestically?

Yes, infants under 2 years of age, travelling on an adult’s lap must pay 10% of the price of the adult ticket.

Will I pay for my infant to travel internationally?

Yes, infants under 2 years of age, travelling on an adult’s lap must pay 10% of the price of the adult ticket.

What if my child turns 2 on the trip; will I have to buy a ticket for the return flight?

Yes, all children over 2 years old must purchase a child fare ticket. These children are required to sit in their own seat.

What types of child restraint devices are allowed?

Passengers are allowed to bring a bassinet or a collapsible stroller on board the aircraft.

What infant amenities are available on the aircraft I’ll be flying on?

Carrycots are typically available in the front bulkhead position of each cabin section. If you would like a carrycot for your infant, remember to request this seat when reserving your ticket. These seats cannot be booked online, so please contact a local Egyptair office.

Can I sit in an Exit Row with my infant?

No, adults travelling with infants are not allowed to sit in an Exit Row seat.
