Airline Overview

Azul (AD) is “Brazil’s largest international airline by number of cities served.” Azul will carry you to more than 100 destinations in Brazil, several South American countries, Portugal, and the United States. Codeshare agreements with airlines such as TAP Air Portugal and United expand its reach throughout the world. Its modern fleet includes A320neo, A330, ATR 72, E190, and E195 aircraft. All aircraft, except the short-haul turboprops, feature seat back entertainment monitors. Features on aircraft used for long-haul flights include Economy Extra (seats with additional legroom), Skysofa (a group of four seats in Economy Class that may be turned into a “spacious couch for families, couples, and friends to travel together”), and seats that transform into fully lie-flat beds in Business Class. The airline commenced operations in 2008 from its main operating base of Viracopos/Campinas International Airport (VCP) in suburban São Paulo and continues to dynamically grow.
