Azerbaijan Hava Yollary: Children Flying Alone

What is Azerbaijan Airlines' Unaccompanied Minor Service?

Children travelling without an adult are considered unaccompanied minors. Parents, guardians, or trustees must bring the unaccompanied minors to the airport 2 hours (3 hours in some airports) prior to departure. An Azerbaijan Airlines staff member will accompany the child in each part of their journey within the airport and onboard the aircraft. After the plane is landed the child will be released into the care of the person stated as the child's guardian by the child's parents, guardians, or trustees.

What age does my child have to be to qualify as an Unaccompanied Minor?

The service is mandatory for children ages 5-14 traveling without an adult who is at least 18 years old. The service is optional for children between 14 and 18.
