Swiss International Air Lines (LX), known as SWISS, is the flag carrier of Switzerland. It was founded in 2002, is a member of the Lufthansa Group, and is a member of the Star Alliance. It also has codeshare alliances with several other airlines. The carrier has a hub at Zurich Airport (ZRH) and has Geneva Airport (GVA) as a focus city. SWISS flies to more than 100 destinations in 46 countries in Europe, Africa, the Middle East, Asia, North America, and South America. The carrier operates a fleet of Airbus, Avro, Boeing, and Bombardier aircraft. Aircraft used on short-haul and medium-haul flights feature two-cabin (Business Class and Economy Class). Aircraft used on long-haul flights feature three-cabin (First Class, Business Class, and Economy Class) configurations.
