Airline Overview
Founded in 1920, Qantas (QF) is the world's third-oldest airline and Australia's flag carrier. It operates from primary hubs at Brisbane Airport (BNE), Melbourne Airport (MEL) and Sydney Airport (SYD), and secondary hubs at Adelaide Airport (ADL), Dubai International Airport (DXB) and Perth Airport (PER). Qantas owns a number of subsidiaries, including QantasLink (QF), Jetstar Airways (JQ), and Jetconnect (QF). The airline flies to 20 domestic destinations and 21 international destinations in 14 countries in Oceania, Asia, Africa, Europe, North America and South America. It also operates charter flights to Antarctica. A founding member of the Oneworld alliance, Qantas also has codeshare agreements with about 18 non-alliance carriers.
