The Virgin America brand is an extension of the highly successful Virgin group, which includes Virgin Atlantic and V Australia. This relatively new airline offers state-of-the-art entertainment and mood lighting. Virgin America recently added Main Cabin Select seats (rows 3 and 8), which offer extra leg room, complimentary food and drinks, free entertainment, dedicated luggage space, and priority airport services.
The armrests in the Main Cabin do not fully retract.

- Virgin America offers more than 25 pay-per-view Hollywood movies on Demand for $8 each. Free entertainment choices include games, food ordering menu, and live Google Maps to track the flight.
Virgin America offers internet service for domestic US flights using AirCell's Gogo service. Connectivity is available for laptops or mobile devices starting from $4.95. - Every First and Main Cabin Select seat has a 110v AC power port, and in the Main Cabin, there are two ports for every three seats. The outlet is located between seats AB, BC, DE, and EF. In addition to the AC power outlets, there are USB and Ethernet ports at every seat in both classes. The RJ45 Ethernet jack, which is inoperable at this time, will have access to the internet in 2009.
